Latin American Food Products

Latin American Indigenous ingredients:

Achiote , Amaranth, Avocado, Beans, Blueberries, Chia, Cacao, Cactus, Cassava, Corn, lúcuma, Maracuya, Peanut, Peppers, Pineapple, Potato, Prickly Pear, Pumpkin, Quinoa, Squash, Sweet Potato, Tomato, Turkey, Vanilla

There are many more regional agricultural ingredients that you find in the country of origin that I am not listing here.

I would recommend that: First,  try to eat at a restaurant that offers some of the flavors of the region. Latin America, Mexico, Spain, Caribbean. Second, cook them using shortcuts, like pre- packaged products you can find in the international aisle of your grocery store or online; such as:

Dried Chile Peppers

Chile Pepper Powder

Ancho Chile Paste

Ancho Chile Paste

Guajillo Chile Passte

Diced Green Chiles

Chipotle Peppers

Jalapeño Slices

Pickled Jalapeño

Chile powder

Chile with Tamarind

Al Pastor Seasoning

Pico de Gallo Salsa

Authentic Vanilla Extract

Mexican Chocolate

Mexican Chocolate Powder

Mexican Chocolate Syrup

Cajeta Mexicana

Enchiladas Mineras

Refried Beans

Bean Burritos

Mexican Style Rice

Try to cook/Bake foods that can be mixed, rolled, shaped. These hands-on dishes are the most successful for involving children and friends: Corn Tortillas, Flour tortillasEmpanadas, Quesadillas with cheese, Tamales, Chocolate.

But, the most important thing is that by adding a little bit of this and a little bit of that, they will be creating a memory that will last a lifetime!
