“Top of the morning to you.. and the rest of the day to you”
When I was working as a librarian, during the month of March, we used to greet each other with this Irish greeting.
I learned it from Father Barry, the pastor of my parish, who used it to greet us all the time. St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated on March 17th. all over the world it is a fun festival mostly with public parades and the participation of many community organizations. Most people seem to know everything about the Irish saga, however, there are many works from Irish ingenuity that you might not know, i.e. Do you know who was the peddler or Balaghadrin ? So, here are some examples of that, and other stories that I hope you enjoy!
Books about Ireland’s History, Folklore, Food, that you might want to read and gift.
